lovely morning i have bin busy all Day in the afternoon Nell and i went out to see the Duglasses and martha m in in the evening i went to the lecture
Sarah came home last night long worked for lou at last very much Gleefull to day i stoped home in the morning
quite Pleasent all day i attended church all day vincent was not at church in the morning he was quite sick he went home early
Emilie’s church, the First (Colored) Presbyterian Church (also referred to as the Seventh Street Presbyterian Church) at Seventh and Shippen [now known as Bainbridge Street] Streets hosted weekly lectures on Friday nights at 7 o’clock.
Vincent was afflicted with an illness or injury that made his face swell. The cause is unknown, but it seems to have corrected itself by early October 1865.
