here how glad i was to see them he is a fine boy Nellie was up here this afternoon she is afraid to com up at night

Thursday 15

Mary and i went out shoping Mary Simson was married this morning at 8 o clock Stoped at our hous for dinner then when home to Bridesburg Mary Crasis was bridesmaid

The Christian Recorder carried Mary Simpson’s marriage announcement, noting that “[o]n the 15th, Mr. Gideon H. Pierce, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Miss Mary Cornelia Simpson, of Princeton, N.J” were married.  “Married,” Christian Recorder, January 31, 1863.
